This activity is thought to be developed at the end of the course.
♪ Background needed: notes on the recorder, rumba and rock rhythms on the cajón, basic musical coordination.
♪ Contents worked: 4/4 meter, beat, rhythm, melody, chords, structure, variation,
♪ Skills developed: team work, creativity, fine motor skills, coordination, listening skills
♪ One or two sessions are needed to prepare this exercise.
♪ Each group of 4 or 5 people is given these instructions in order to create a musical piece of about one minute:
Use the chords on Am, F, C and G, played by three recorders
Use the pentatonic scale to create the melody
Use the rhythms we have worked previously: rumba and rock (click to watch some students playing these rhythms)
